One thing that I’m already really liking about Brave is their concept of Basic Attention Tokens (BAT). This is their own cryptocurrency that they pay out when they show you ads, which you have complete control over. And they pay you 70% of the proceeds, which is pretty good, I think.
You can also top up your wallet and then automatically contribute to the websites and projects that you visit, in the same way that Flattr does. And you can quickly give a one-off tip to a contributor as well in the same way, which is nice. It’s a quick, easy and secure way of thanking contributors and I couldn’t resist but sign up myself.
