Day 24 – Tropical

Morning

The last day of my Lilley’s Cider advent calendar has revealed a Tropical cider,  lightly sparkled and 4%.  The picture on the bottle looks like pineapple, pink grapefruit, passion fruit and mango, but the back lists lime instead of passion fruit.  There’s quite a bit of sediment, so this one will need a bit of a shake first.  If I’m honest, I’m a bit disappointed that it’s another fruit one to finish off this little exploration, but I will go in open minded.

Evening

You can definitely taste the pineapple, pink grapefruit and mango, they all come through clearly.  I can’t really taste lime, which is a shame, because for me this was way too sweet and some citrus might have helped cut through it a bit.  If you like Lilt then I imagine you’d really love this cider.

Too fruity and sweet for my palate – 2/5.
