Day 7 – WooWoo Cider

Morning

Door number 7 of my Lilley’s Cider advent calendar revealed a bottle of 4% lightly sparkling WooWoo Cider this morning.  Obviously this cider is based on the cocktail, which is a mix of vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice and lime.  I think the last time I had a Woo Woo cocktail was probably at university, and I don’t want to say quite how many years ago that was!  I’m not a fan of peach (even less so than pear), but this is what I love about the advent calendar idea – push me outside of my comfort zone a little and try some new flavours.

I really don’t know what to say about this one. I’ve been sat here trying to write something, and the words haven’t come, so I’m now writing about not writing, which I understand is a bit mad and I should probably edit this out.

The tang from the cranberries was nice, and definitely came through more than the taste of peach, which was actually surprisingly subtle. I didn’t hate it, I didn’t like it, it was kind of “meh”.  Maybe it’s my expectations that are the problem, rather than the cider.  Either way, I have not been won over by this one.

I’m really more of a Mojito person – 2/5.
