Day 9 – Mango Cider

Morning

Today I discover it’s actually much easier to push the door on my Lilley’s Cider advent calendar in and twist, than it is to try and get my fat finger into the notch to pull it out. Never stop learning!

Anyway, today has yielded a bottle of 4% Lilley’s Mango cider.  Mango takes me back to being a child and being told I can’t leave the table until I’ve finished my tea, even though I’ve been given the mango yogurt and I really can’t stand mango.  I’m still going to give it a fair go, but I am less than enthused.

Evening

I don’t know if this is a good thing, or a bad thing, but I kind of liked it. The smell was overwhelmingly mango, this is a really aromatic one.  But once tasted, the mango was really quite mild, and balanced well with the cider taste.  I won’t be buying it again, but I imagine that if you actually like mango, this one would be a real winner.

Still reeling from the fact it wasn’t awful  – 3/5.
